This is my horror movie theory. I’m not sure it holds up, especially considering last night I was home alone and had to sleep with the light on.
Anyway, horror movie recommendations are always welcome – I’m not a fan of gorno style horror, or anything with sexual violence. But good old fashioned demons and hauntings, and scares are very excellent. (I’ve done a long rant about my horror feels on my patreon blog too, if you’re a supporter and wanna listen to my rambles)

Ohhh I keep forgetting to watch Hannibal – I watched the first two seasons then forgot to watch the rest!!
I did a paper on this in college. Horror movies can cause increased anxiety, trigger dissociation, and elicit PTSD responses in viewers. Feel free to watch them if you want to, but understand that they my worsen your psychological difficulties.
