I haven’t really talked about top surgery on this comic before, I think mostly because trans surgeries are just so focused in on by mainstream media, and it seems weird to discuss them, but I figured since it’s time, it’s time.

I’ve heard the line “binding hurts and not binding hurts” line from other trans friends/acquaintances before. So hugs for that. Sounds like the right decision. I wish you all the best for the surgery and for the recovery process afterwards.
This is such a personal thing and I love how JMS and the Wachowskis dealt with it in Sense8 but also I think imo trans folk shouldn’t let media dictate for them how and when they share this personal part of their life, but also, don’t be closed off to talking about it. Because if trans folk keep it in the ‘closet’ then it will be just as harmful as remaining closeted, because they will then say trans folk are ashamed of the surgery. I watched Slutever (2018) episode 6 Trans Sexuality. It was an eye opener for me and also gave me a greater understanding and appreciation of the community. Proud of you.
