Sam Wallman‘s comics are so creative, grounded, and incredible – it was an absolute privilege to get to attend the workshop. The task of the workshop was to put together a comic about work, and I decided to do one about the joys and hardships of freelancing, because I was thinking about job perks, which were all pretty much union wins, and I wondered how freelances can show solidarity and help make it easier on ourselves and each other to get some of the same wins. If anyone has ideas or contributions to make on the topic, I’m super keen to hear them!

Also – AAAP are an amazing organisation committed to fighting poverty across New Zealand, and they’re currently running a campaign to get more regular donors to support the organisation, here’s the donation page.

Also shout out to my brother Tim who let me use him and his super cute kid in this comic.
