So with the lockdown I’ve seen a few folks worrying that they might have to start injecting at home. So I thought I’d pop up a little series about doing T-Shots. Most places in NZ will still be providing injection services, but in case you’re worried about it and wanna learn, or you don’t want to go to medical services at the moment I figured this might be helpful. You should also check out Gender Minorities tips for intramuscular injections, or subcutaneous injections and of course check with your medical professionals for their instructions.

NOTE: In terms of needle sizes – I do an intramuscular injection, hence the length. Some people use a short needle and higher gauge to draw up, and then a longer and thinner one to inject (which might take a bit longer, but a bit less ouchy). Check in with your doctor or pharmacist to get their recommendation for needle sizes.
