Honestly, one of the numerous reasons I have negative feelings towards transitioning to female (as opposed to staying genderqueer) is the fear of sexism.
Fear and uncertainty of what going from being perceived “Gay Man” to being perceived “Trans Woman” would change.
One of the reasons I’m scared of transitioning to male is actually due to … well…. erasure. people assuming i’m just ‘some guy’. and yeah, privilege. or at least being assumed to have privilege when I’ve had the opposite experience <_<
